November Shipping Update!
about 1 year ago – Fri, Nov 17, 2023 at 07:23:00 AM

Hello everyone!

I’ve gotten several emails from backers curious about shipping, so I reached out to the fulfilment company about backer rewards. Admittedly, I was also confused as I knew some backers had recieved rewards but others had not. The fulfillment company I use is extremely professional and very good, so I was worried something had slipped through the cracks.

They got back to me quickly and this is the email I recieved:

Hi Levi,

Big apologies for the long delay. This is a very hectic time of the year for us and we had a few other large projects arrive to us around the time that yours did that are currently ahead of you in the queue. We will continue to get orders out as we can just to show some degree of progress, but your projects will likely not start in earnest until after Thanksgiving weekend.

Thanks for your understanding.

If there are any backers in particular that you want to take care of sooner rather than later, let us know and we can prioritize getting them out.

So, it seems as if there was a bit of miscommunication between the fulfilment company and myself. Ultimately, as the project lead and publisher, the responsibility for communicating this falls on me. Even though a few backers have recieved their rewards, as you can see from the email there has been a hold up on the rest. I believe this is the source of the miscommunication and, again, this is on me.

It appears that the remainder of orders will be going out to backers after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. My apologies for the delay.

If anyone has ANY concerns, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Thanks guys! I appreciate all the support we’ve gotten this last year. You are the absolute best.

Smoke Tests Are Out! Full Backerkit Drops Tomorrow!
about 1 year ago – Tue, Oct 10, 2023 at 11:06:12 AM

Hey everyone!

A real quick update to let you guys know that Backerkit survey SMOKE TESTS have gone out. That means that about 5% of you should be receiving the smoke test and that tomorrow we will be dropping surveys to everyone else.

The faster we get these surveys filled out, the faster we can start getting rewards out to everyone! Barring any sort of mishap or a printing disaster after we open up the boxes (fingers crossed) for inspection, we are in a very good spot and WAAAAAAY ahead of schedule. As of right now, the zines have been shipped to our warehouse and will start heading your way (in waves) by the end of next week.

All hail the eye!

Artist Spotlight - Matt Stikker & Noirfade
about 1 year ago – Sun, Sep 24, 2023 at 08:13:47 AM

Hello everyone! I know we just dropped a backers only update, but I wanted to drop another one real quick spotlighting two of the project's fantastic artists.

Jamie Jordan, aka Noirfade is a Beaverton, OR based artist and illustrator who works in a variety of mediums. He cites Gerald Brom, Silvia Ji, Frank Frazetta, Olivia, Vargas, Mucha, Dore, Rembrant, Hussar, Andrew Jones and Coro amongst his favorite artists and influences.

Jamie can be found on Instagram at @noirfade and his Deviant Art page is active (though Kickstarter often flags links to that site, so please go there directly and check out his tremendous work). His work on Breaker Press's Stennard setting is tremendous! Both Wide Eyed Terror and Cleft in the Mangled Hills are fantastic.

Matt Stikker is a Portland, OR based artist and illustrator who has done a wide range of work across many platforms. His work is grounded in the music and culture of heavy metal, horror movies, comics, fantasy, science fiction and the occult. He counts ink luminaries Bernie Wrightson, Jack Davis, R. Crumb, and Jack Kirby among his foremost influences. Primarily an illustrator, Matt's customary medium is pen and ink, although he also works in acrylic and digital painting. He is also a guitarist and vocalist/lyricist for Portland-based bands Drouth and Iron Scepter.

Matt can be found on Instagram at @barginbinblasphemy and you can get his stuff at his BIG CARTEL PAGE. You can also find his Tumblr page HERE.  Matt did the cover for Precipice of Corruption, which looks fantastic!

With so many great artists in Closet of the Eye Wizard, we hope to spotlight a few more before the project wraps up. Having such a deep well of talent and cool indie creators all involved in one project has been awesome.

Look for another update soon. Thanks for backing this project and helping to bring it to life!
